Silicon Mats - Are they worth it?

I start painting a bit before Christmas, so that’s what I asked for, supplies!  One of the things I got, actually, 2 of things I got were silicon mats.  It was something I asked for.  I found one on Amazon and put it in a wish list for my family to get ideas.  I got that one for Christmas.

Since my mom also likes to watch the videos and look at the paintings, she found another one sold by a painter who start a company to sell supplies with her family, LoliVefe. Their mat is much bigger and is non-stick.  It is sooo nice!  I LOVE this mat! 

After I make a fluid art painting, paint always runs off of the side and makes puddles with neat designs.  I don’t like wasting the paint, so I want to figure out what to do with it.  That said, using this large silicone mat, the paint just peels right off and makes cleaning up easy!
